Our Story

By the curly girls, for the curly girls 

Growing up as a young black girl with 4a hair in an area where no one looked like me, there was pressure to ‘tame’ my curls. Despite this, my parents (who I am incredibly grateful for) always encouraged me to embrace my natural hair. 

Thanks to them, I had time to understand and explore my natural texture from a young age. 

As I became an adult, I wanted to experiment with my hair further and looked into having textured extensions installed for an upcoming holiday. The search for was unsuccessful as I quickly realised that the hair extension industry lacked texture diversity. The best match I could find were loose waves with a synthetic/plastic-looking finish. 

But that didn’t stop me. I searched high and low for quality textured extensions that would give me the look and convenience that I desired. 

2 years later, Curl Collection was born. 

I am happy to say that through personal experiences I have not only grown to love my curls, but also managed to create a brand that serves all those who have faced similar challenges.
